Lucky Bill Split
Who pays what? Draw shares from the bill one by one and let luck decide.
The Lucky Bill Split turns paying the bill into a game of chance. Set the total and the players, then everyone taps in turn to draw their share — one person might get away with a few dollars while another lands the biggest slice. When the last draw lands, the list shows exactly who owes what, and it always adds up to the bill.
The mechanics are like splitting a lucky red envelope: each draw takes a random portion of what remains (with a cap you set, so one person cannot take an unfair 90%), the next player draws from the rest, and the final player gets whatever is left. A higher 'max share' makes it dramatic; a lower one keeps it gentle.
Set your own rules around it — loser pays the tip, first-drawn pays for dessert, or just enjoy the suspense. It is random chance, purely for fun, and everything runs locally in your browser.

Higher = more dramatic splits, lower = fairer.
Who pays what is decided by tapping in turn — everyone taps once, finds out their luck, and the list adds up to the exact bill. Fun only: it is random chance, not fairness.
How to use the Lucky Bill Split
- Enter the bill total and the participants (one name per line).
- Set the maximum share one draw can take — higher is more dramatic.
- Press Start, then let each person tap their own name to draw their share.
- Watch the 'remaining' pool shrink after every draw.
- When all shares are drawn, the results list shows the total is exactly the bill — and who got lucky.
Frequently asked questions
Is the split fair?
No — and that is the point. It is deliberately random for entertainment: early drawers can land a huge share, and the last person takes whatever is left. If you want a fair split, use the Tip & Bill Split Calculator instead.
Why does everyone always get at least something?
Each draw leaves enough for everyone still waiting, so no one ends with zero — the suspense is about the size of the slice, not about being stuck with nothing.
Do the amounts always match the bill total?
Yes — every cent is distributed by construction: draws remove from a single pool, and the final player receives exactly what remains. The results screen verifies the total for you.
